There’s a lot of love going around for Vivosun grow tents, especially since they come in different tent sizes. I love the 4 x 2 (48 x48 x80) grow tent because it’s compact, lightweight, and durable.
This Vivosun tent looks and feels sturdy on the hand. This is a standard for all other Vivosun tents, which is why I love them so much.
Just by its feel alone, I already know I’m off to a good start.
The tent instructions that came with the Vivosun tent were pretty confusing. I had to resort to video tutorials to get started.
But thankfully, the whole setup was intuitive and didn’t require much effort.

1) Oxford Canvas Outer Material
Vivosun grow tents sport a standard 600D canvas material, which does a great job of keeping indoor conditions stable.
It can withstand daily wear and tear, although it’s not necessarily the thickest and most heavy-duty material.
As such, you must be careful where you put the tent, especially around sharp and pointed objects.
The outer canvas material is decent for its price tag and gets the job done. You can get many good years of use from the material without sacrificing your budget.
2) Mylar Inner Lining
I always look forward to checking the reflective lining inside the tent. In general, Vivosun grow tents sport a reflective mylar lining with an impressive light reflection property.
Unlike other materials I’ve found, it doesn’t absorb lighting easily. This translates to better light reflection and a balanced light distribution for all growing plants inside the tent.
A reflective mylar lining is an important feature you should always look for. After all, it can affect the growth of your plants!
Not to mention, a good lining can also help you reduce your energy consumption.
3) High-Quality Zippers With Black Inner Lining
If there’s one part of the grow tent that will be overused, that’s got to be the zippers.
Just imagine the number of times you’ll have to pull it open and close it every time you attend to your plants.
Unfortunately, I’ve encountered some grow tents with really bad zippers. They often get stuck on the lining, which usually causes a tear! There goes your light-proof tent.
As much as possible, stick to HQ zippers, which Vivosun grow tents have. They are easier to pull without the risk of getting caught on the lining.
But although the zippers on the Vivosun grow tents are high quality, that doesn’t mean they aren’t without flaws.
Through the usual wear and tear, you might notice the zipper quality and zipper lining be affected. There may even be some pin holes on the zipper lining over time.
4) All-Iron Metal Frame
One of the things I don’t like about some grow tents is their flimsy metal poles.
They’re either hard to set up, won’t latch to each other, or have an insufficient weight capacity. Of the three I’ve mentioned, I dislike the last one the most.
Thankfully, the poles used on Vivosun tents are made of all-iron metal materials. It can hold at least 100 pounds and up to 200 pounds on bigger grow tents.
It’s enough to hold and hang your grow light and ventilation equipment without fear of it falling on your plants!
The powder-coated metal poles are rust and corrosion-resistant, so exposing them to wet and moist conditions won’t be a risk.
5) Observation Window
The observation window on Vivosun tents is always a great addition.
They provide a ton of ease and convenience for us growers because we can check up on our plants without having to open the whole tent.
This also helps preserve the growing conditions inside the tent!
Don’t worry — the observation windows come with a light-proof cover. You can pull the cover back down if you’re not using the observation window to prevent light leaks.
6) Removable Floor Tray and Inner Tool Organizer
Cleaning an indoor growing setup can be challenging. There are a lot of plants and equipment in the way, and figuring out where to start is a challenge in itself.

Let me start with its 2000D high-density fabric. If you thought Gorillas’ 1680D was astonishing, what more with this one?
Light leakage will be the least of your problems. Couple this with reflective diamond mylar walls, and you’re all set to have happy plants.
All you have to do is set up your lighting system, and the walls will do the reflecting for you.
Regardless of how small or big your plants are, you can guarantee exceptional lighting from each angle.
The metal piping for the whole frame is definitely something worth raving about. The alloy steel metal frame is very durable and can easily support your ventilation and lighting system.
There’s no question that this tent was built using only quality materials. Now that’s exceptional!
And all this comes at a relatively affordable price point. Despite being one of the best grow tents, I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a reasonable price tag.
