Silver Haze Strain
- Dry Eyes
- Dry Mouth
Silver Haze is a satisfying and surprisingly powerful cross between Northern Lights and the original and powerful Haze. This Sativa originated in the Netherlands and is derived from an Afghani mix. Its effects are clear-headed, with a long-lasting high.
Medical marijuana users have recommended it for chronic pain and general sicknesses. Silver Haze causes no nausea and is, therefore, a green alternative to traditional medical marijuana treatment. However, silver Haze may cause anxiety in some users, so it is not recommended for those with an existing mental health condition or prone to such issues.
The cerebral effects of Silver Haze are characterized by a general uplifting and relaxing sensation. The non-cannabinoid properties of this strain also include a heavy pain-relieving effect, making it ideal for neuropathic pain. The effects last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the patient’s tolerance and unique body chemistry.
The known side effects of this strain are minor but unfortunate. Dry mouth, dry eyes, and dizziness are commonly reported. There are no known cases of Silver Haze causing physical addiction or withdrawal symptoms. The THC level in both the resinous and non-resinous parts of Silver Haze approaches 18% to 23%, depending on the cultivar.
Flowering takes 8 to 9 weeks and the yield averages at 500 grams per square meter indoors. It is also easy to clone, making it ideal for commercial cultivation and experimentation. Harvest time is in mid-October when grown outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere.
