Royal Highness is a hybrid marijuana strain with the parentage of Dancehall and an unknown strain. It has a nearly balanced ratio of THC to CBD, so the effects are energizing and allow you to focus without any cognitive impairment. Royal Highness has a smooth, fruity flavor with notes of spice and skunk reminiscent of the strain’s parents.

Overseas, this strain can be found in Portland (Oregon), where it’s been extremely popular since late 2015. This strain is perfect for medical marijuana patients looking for relief from anxiety or pain, as it provides clear-headed relief.

The effects of this strain are both cerebral and physical. The high begins with a happy, almost intoxicating head rush that can leave you giggling. As the high wears on, you’ll notice it takes you out of your seat feeling energized and makes you want to move around.

The downside effects of Royal Highness include dry mouth and eyes, dry eyes, fatigue, and muscle spasms. Though these side effects are fairly uncommon for an overall balanced strain, one should still know they’re present before consuming this strain. The THC level of this strain is at 6%, and the CBD level is also relatively high, testing between 1 and 8%.

The buds have a fresh, earthy smell with a little spice to them. They’re light green in color with orange hairs throughout that are visible through the crystal clear coating of trichomes. Growing this strain is considered easy, making it ideal for growers of any skill level.

The yield is excellent both indoors and outdoors, averaging around 500 grams per square meter in optimal conditions. The flowering times are long, with 10 weeks needed when growing this strain indoors and a short 6 weeks when grown outdoors.
