This cannabis variety was the love child of two pot powerhouses, Purple Thai and an Afghani Indica, bred by Dutch Passion and propagated by DJ Short. Flo is characterized as having round buds with purple calyxes that can be harvested multiple times to create a ‘flo’ of buds.

Flo strain is used to treat insomnia, stress, and depression. It is also used to reduce symptoms associated with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. In 2007, Flo was awarded First Place in the Indica category at the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The adverse effects of Flo can include dry mouth, dry eyes, paranoia, and dizziness. It is not recommended for those diagnosed with glaucoma or kidney disease.

The range of THC levels can be anywhere from 12 to 18%, and the average blend is around 11%. Flo seeds will germinate within 7 to 14 days when planted indoors, or if they’re planted outdoors with proper soil and water, you can expect germination rates within three days.
