Citron Strain

The Citron strain is a balanced hybrid marijuana variety believed to be a cross of OG Kush. It originated in Southern California and has a sweet and sour, lemony and lime flavor. The buds are light green in color, covered in frosty trichomes, and smell sweet of lemons when ground up or ripped apart.

Patients will experience an uplifting euphoria without feeling sleepy. Citron cannabis is suited for use in alleviating chronic pain, stress, and depression symptoms. This strain has been found to produce results in as little as 20 minutes when smoked or vaporized and offers relief from symptoms within two hours if ingested.

The adverse effects associated with this strain include dry eyes, dry mouth, and headaches. The THC levels have been tested between 17.3% and 27.6%, while CBD levels range from 0.1 to 0.8 percent. Growing this strain is easy and requires a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks.

Citron can be grown indoors or outdoors but is not recommended for use in a greenhouse. It needs a well-drained area with plenty of sunlight, and it can grow well outdoors in California, New Mexico, Arizona, or Nevada. It thrives in an area with an average temperature between 75ºF and 85ºF during the day and 70 degrees Fahrenheit at night.
