Blackberry Kush is an Indica-dominant strain that is, unsurprisingly, a mix of Afghani and Blackberry. It’s often used for pain management as it has a strong body high that will surely get the pain out of your muscles. It emerged in California, and it’s now popular in Colorado, where it’s used for pain relief as well.

Medical marijuana patients have praised this strain, and patients with a wide variety of ailments have found relief in Blackberry Kush. It can be helpful for insomnia, stress, and pain too. In addition, it will relax the body and mind while providing a sense of euphoria. Other cerebral effects include boosted creativity, enhanced focus, and energy.

The adverse effects are typical of an Indica. You may feel dizzy, tired, and lethargic. This strain is generally best for nighttime hours as it’ll make you fall asleep easily. The THC content is around 15%-16%, making sure you’re well-hydrated if you consume a lot.

The aroma of this strain should be indica-like, with sweet flavors of berries coming out. The taste should be much like the aroma, and that’s a good thing for patients with sweet tooths. Unfortunately, this strain grows relatively short, and while it is ready to harvest in 7 to 8 weeks, yields are not great.

It’s best grown indoors, although if you’re not looking for a lot of product, it can grow outside too. The plant should be green in color with orange pistils. Both the buds and leaves of the plant should look healthy. The plant smells strongly of a sweet fruity smell that could be berry-like, which is good for patients with a sweet tooth.
